  • Are your outdoor plants treated with neonicotinoids or other non-organic pesticides?

Our outdoor plants are NOT treated with neonics as verified by our growers in each category. Unfortunately in most commercial greenhouses some types of pesticides are necessary- particularly for annual flowers and foliage. We do carry completely untreated organic herb & veggie starts and our native plants are completely neonicotinoid-free to protect pollinators.

  • What houseplants are non-toxic to cats and dogs?

We always recommend doing your own research as most plants have some level of toxicity to them- it's their natural defense mechanism! Talk to your vet, and check out the exhaustive lists provided by the ASPCA for both cats & dogs. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plants.

  • When do your annuals and perennials arrive in spring?

Plants arrive as nature (ie the weather) dictates. We begin to get in early spring annuals such as pansies, ranunculus, snap dragons, stock, osteospermum, etc in early April, and are fully stocked with spring and early summer annuals (sweet potato vine, calibrachoa, petunia, geraniums, celosia, etc) by mid-May.

  • When is it safe to plant in the fall?

Fall is an excellent time to plant! Again, it's up to the weather- our "First Average Frost Date" in Zone 5 according to the USDA is October 15th.

  • Do you carry Christmas Trees?

We sell beautiful Christmas trees cut fresh from Allegan, MI starting November 15th. We generally sell out by mid-December so get yours early!
